Dialogue with the client is everything. Every guest receives a complimentary consultation, and I approach it with one mindset: listen first. That’s where trust begins. I make sure cost and time are communicated clearly, because transparency is just as important as artistry.
Balancing my vision, my technical capabilities, and the client’s desires happens naturally through conversation. Some clients say, ‘I trust you completely,’ while others want to try something new every visit — and I love both. When clients bring inspiration photos, I use them as a starting point to explain how color and shape make hair move, and how we can achieve a look through different techniques.
I also guide clients toward styles that work for their lifestyle and budget. High-maintenance hair isn’t for everyone, so I aim to create looks that last, giving them the most value between services. Clients trust my eye and my opinion because I’m honest — if something isn’t possible, or if it risks damaging their hair, I’ll say so. At the same time, I embrace challenges that push me creatively.
The pandemic shifted inspiration from magazines to phones, which makes things easier to share and visualize together. No matter what, I want every client to feel heard, understood, and confident that we’re creating something beautiful, healthy, and uniquely theirs.
